Who doesn’t love spaghetti bolognese? This family classic is great for batch cooking for super busy weeks now that everyone is back to school. Make extra portions to serve over hot baked potatoes and freeze some for the following week too. This also works well in the slow cooker (just be sure to brown your mince first).

What you need:
- Olive oil
- 500g of beef mince
- 2 tins of tomatoes
- 4 tbsp of tomato puree
- 1 pack of Sadie’s Kitchen Boosting Beef Bone Broth
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 stalks of celery, finely diced
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp of dried oregano
- 1 tbsp of dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt & pepper to taste
What to do:
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot, over medium heat. Add the mince and onion and saute until the onion begins to soften (they will start to become translucent).
- Add in the celery, carrots and garlic. Turn the heat up to high and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Next, add your bone broth, tinned tomatoes, puree and herbs. Along with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to boil and then reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 45 minutes, or longer if you have it!
- Serve with freshly cooked spaghetti and a sprinkle of parmesan. Garlic bread optional!
